Slow Food UW Cafe Lunch – 2/6

Todays’ Slow Food UW Cafe Lunch featured a Malaysian menu. My picks included Nasi Minyak and Ayam (Spiced Butter Rice and Fried Chicken with Red Paste), Karipap (Curry Potato Puff), Kuah Dal (Lentil Curry Soup), and Sweet Potato Donuts for dessert. I wish I would have tried the Sauteed Root Veggies with Curry and Mustard Seeds—it looked mighty tasty on the plates of my fellow diners. My favorite of the dishes I tried was the Nasi Minyak and Ayam. The chicken was very tender, and unbelievably flavorful with a complex spicy red sauce.

Hey, I went today as well. Sorry I missed you. We should meet up another week. And yes, the Nasi Minyak and Ayam was also my favorite and I too regretted not getting the root veggies after seeing others with them.
